At Cool Kenya, we don’t just install units; we design climate solutions. Depending on your building’s architecture and cooling requirements, we offer four primary types of AC configurations.

01. Ducted Air Conditioning (Central Systems)

The “Invisible” Solution for Total Control. Ducted systems are the gold standard for whole-building climate control. The indoor unit is completely concealed within your roof cavity or under the floor, with air distributed through a series of hidden ducts leading to discreet vents in each room.

02. High Wall Units (Split Systems)

The Versatile & Cost-Effective Favorite. High wall units are the most common type of air conditioner in Kenya. They consist of a sleek indoor unit mounted high on a wall, connected to an outdoor compressor. They are designed to cool the specific room in which they are installed.

03. Ceiling Cassette Units

Powerful, 360-Degree Cooling. Designed to be recessed into a suspended (false) ceiling, cassette units are a powerful alternative to wall units. Only the decorative fascia panel is visible. Unlike wall units that blow air in one direction, cassettes typically distribute air in four directions simultaneously.

04. Floor Standing Units

High-Capacity Cooling for High-Traffic Areas. These units sit directly on the floor or just above it, resembling a tall, slim cabinet. They are significantly more powerful than standard wall units and are designed to move a large volume of air quickly.

05. Vapor Recovery Units (VRUs): Efficiency Meets Sustainability

In large-scale industrial and petrochemical operations, storage tanks often release gases—known as Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)—into the atmosphere during loading, unloading, or temperature changes. A Vapor Recovery Unit (VRU) is a sophisticated system designed to capture these vapors, preventing pollution and recovering valuable product that would otherwise be lost.
